The Web as a cost saving

One of the original and still most valuable opportunities that the web and Internet provides us is its seemingly infinite layers of free information and advice.

Some of this advice may need to be viewed with a little skepticism but for shear volume and level of detail consulting the Google oracle just can not be beaten.

So whilst the Thirdway certainly utilises the web as a medium for delivering solutions, it also looks to the web and Internet for:

  • Inspiration: what is the latest and greatest, what looks food and works well, what a different segments and verticals doing today, what images can we source?
  • Learning and resources: Newsletters, Forums, Blogs, Podcasts, websites, there are endless free, and even more high quality low cost resources to mine
  • Collaboration tools: From social book marking tools like Digg to free communications tools like Skype

As web experts we should be in amongst all of these and more, not only advising our clients on how to save money and improve operations online, but reducing costs (and therefore fees) by taking advantage of them ourselves.
